Jury splits on Ahrensfield

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A federal jury came back with a spilt decision Friday in the case against a former Albuquerque Police Department officer accused of blowing an undercover investigation.

Jurors found Brad Ahrensfield not guilty of lying to FBI agents, but hung on an obstruction charge.

Ahrensfield was accused of tipping off his friend, Shawn Bryan, that he and some of his workers at local car dealership were the target of a drug and stolen property investigation.

He was also accused of lying to federal agents.
