ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - It was almost the "great escape" for one inmate after she thought she had authorities fooled.
Bernalillo County sheriff's deputies say 26-year-old Ingrid Ramos tried to join in with six other inmates who were being released from MDC last Sunday.
Deputies say Ramos asked someone else for civilian clothes, then walked out of MDC and got into a transport van.
An officer noticed Ramos was missing and ran out to stop the van.
They pulled Ramos out of the van and say she refused to identify herself and she was then identified by her booking photo.
Ramos was in court Saturday, charged with attempting to escape from jail.
