ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - It was a heinous crime, a woman's house burned down, leaving her and her three children without a home for the holidays.
Now, her estranged husband has been charged with the crime.
Richard Sepeda, 39, was charged with arson over $20,000 on Friday.
Sepeda was already in jail for resisting an officer.
At the end of last month, a Hobbs home went up in flames just minutes after Katheryn Sepeda left it.
Kathy told police her husband admitted to her that he started the fire and then threatened to kill her and her kids.
According to the criminal complaint, Sepeda was angry that Katheryn was seeing another man, so he set the curtains to the house on fire.
