ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Doña Ana County officials are investigating a 21-inmate melee at the county jail Sunday evening that was started in part over some hair-cutting clippers.
Officials say 14 inmates were allowed to use the clippers, but missed the deadline to return them to jail officials and a riot broke out.
Officials say the inmates broke jail property and even set fire to a trash can, causing the sprinklers to come on.
There could be charges.
No one was injured.
