ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Two armed robbers--one wielding a pistol, the other a rifle--hit an Uptown Albuquerque bank Wednesday afternoon and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The holdup of the U.S. Bank branch at 2300 Louisiana NE happened about 12:40 p.m.

No one was injured.

Witnesses told the FBI one of the men was Hispanic or native American, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 180 pounds.  He wore a black beanie, black sweater and light jacket and jeans with a mask obscuring the lower part of his face.

The second man is Anglo and wore a gray hoodie jacket and black ski jacket.

One of the robbers waved a semiautomatic pistol while the other had a rifle with a collapsible stock as they took the cash from two teller windows.

They left the bank on foot but it is not known what direction they went from there.

Anyone with information on the holdup or suspects can contact the FBI in Albuquerque at its 24-hour number: (505) 889-1300.
