ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A masked man with a pistol held up a Compass Bank branch in northeast Albuquerque Thursday and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the FBI.
No one was injured in the heist that began about 9:35 a.m. in the branch at 1201 San Pedro NE.
Witnesses said the man work a black mask, baggy blue jeans, black shoes and a black hoodie with white lettering a designs on it.
He is described as being in his early 30s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, husky at about 200 pounds and light complected with short blonde hair and mustache and an almost full goatee.
He was last seen walking west on Marble Avenue NE.
Anyone with information on the robbery can contact the FBI 24-hour hotline at (505) 889-1300 or Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers anonymously at 843-STOP (843-7867). Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to arrests, while the FBI may pay a $1,000 reward upon arrest and conviction.
