ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - New Mexico State Police appear to be stumped as they ask the public for help in finding whoever killed Larry Link who was gunned down in the ghost town he owned.
Link was found dead on June 7 near at Steins just off Interstate 10 west of Lordsburg at the Arizona state line. He had been shot twice.
So far investigators have not been able to name a suspect. They're asking anyone with information to come forward.
Some believe the murder is related to illegal activity in the area. Authorities say they have no evidence that illegal immigrants are involved.
Anyone with information on the case can contact State Police at (575) 524-6117 or, if they wish to remain anonymous, can call Crime Stoppers at (575) 542-8827.
