ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - Former UNM president and accused pimp, Chris Garcia wrote, a letter to the current UNM president, saying he has been treated unfairly.

In it Chris Garcia expressed his disappointment and said he expected to be given the benefit of the doubt after working at UNM for nearly 5 decades.  He said he also expected the university to be more compassionate.

Police arrested Garcia last month and accused him recruiting women for an on line prostitution ring.   He was locked out of his UNM office during the investigation where police said they found sex toys and video tapes.

In the letter, Garcia blamed the media and said in part that faculty and students accused of violent crimes are allowed on campus, while he is not.

A spokeswoman for UNM said Garcia is now allowed back at UNM as long as he notifies the school before visiting.  He has not taught at UNM since 2009, but still has an office there.
