ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A city of Albuquerque garbage truck was involved in a collision at an Interstate 40 exit ramp that sent two people to the hospital Thursday morning.
The dump truck collided with a pickup truck towing a trailer on westbound I-40 at the ext to Coors Boulevard shutting down the ramp. The bigger truck rolled over onto the driver's side while the pickup and trailer jackknifed ripping off the rear bumper.
Two people have been sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries that were described as not life-threatening. There was no immediate word on who was at fault.
Traffic was still backed up early Thursday afternoon as the cleanup continued.
