FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) - Deputies say a man who shot another man near Flora Vista will not be charged in the shooting.
The San Juan County Sheriff's office reported 30-year-old Tyson Mclemee was shot by William Wilson at a home on County Road 3180 during an altercation Jan. 7.
Investigators have determined that Wilson, 21, acted in self-defense because Mclemee was threatening him with a meat cleaver.
Mcleemee now faces multiple charges including aggravated assault and tampering with evidence.
He's in jail on a $41,000 cash-only bond.
