Kitchen accident caused apartment fire

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Some sort of accident in a kitchen caused an apartment fire around 11 p.m. Monday that sent one person to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Although firefighters were able to put out the fire quickly, four of the eight units at the Courtyard Apartments at 8101 Marble Ave. NE were destroyed, according to fire officials.

The Red Cross is working with displaced residents to find housing for them.
