ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Two men are in federal custody accused of holding up an Albuquerque bank Friday morning while armed with garden shears, the FBI reported.
The robbers walked into the Compass Bank at Academy Drive NW and McKinney occurred about 9:30 a.m. The robbers displayed the shears and escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Two African American men were arrested a short time later and some cash was recovered. The FBI later identified them as Mondreon Haywood and Eric Mathis.
Additional details on the suspects and their capture were not immediately available.
