ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Residents at a northeast Albuquerque apartment complex got quite a scare Saturday after a passerby spotted something that looked like a bomb.
Police say around 4 o’clock Saturday afternoon, a woman at the Fung Lin apartment complex on Chelwood noticed a suspicious device leaning up against an apartment door.
The bomb squad was called in to investigate and residents were evacuated.
”We evacuated the tenants in the nearby apartments and we made our sub-station available for them to go and get some shelter and food as well,” Sgt. Stuart Vigil said.
The bomb squad found it was a fake and that it was something just made to look like a bomb.
No one was hurt.
So far, police have no suspects.
