ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - Former University of New Mexico President F. Chris Garcia says he hopes one day to be allowed to go back on campus again.
Garcia remains a professor emeritus but the university banned him from its Albuquerque campus after he was charged in 2011 in an online prostitution case .
However, the state Supreme Court last week ruled that nothing in state law made illegal a website that was allegedly run by Garcia and another academic.
Garcia tells the Albuquerque Journal that he doesn't have plans to resume teaching at the university but would like to have his office and computer privileges restored.
University officials say Garcia has not contacted them.
A prosecutor says the case isn't necessarily over. Chief Deputy District Attorney Mark Drebing says Garcia still could face other charges.
