PUEBLO, COLORADO (KRQE) - The man suspected in a string of rapes in the Albuquerque metro area has pleaded guilty to a sex charge in Colorado.
Robert Bruce, the alleged "Ether Man" admitted guilt in Pueblo, Colorado Wednesday to attempted sexual assault and burglary in a rape case from 2006.
The pueblo chieftain also reports that as part of a plea deal, prosecutors will make adjustments to Bruce’s sentence if he cooperates with federal authorities investigating rape cases in New Mexico, Texas and Oklahoma.
The report says it's hoped Bruce will help clear up nearly 40 rape cases around the country.
Bruce was convicted earlier in Pueblo for trying to murder a policeman who was scheduled to testify against him in a peeping tom case.
