ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The trial of the man who escaped from an Arizona prison and allegedly killed an Oklahoma couple in New Mexico has been delayed again.
A new trial date of July 22 has been set, but attorneys for John McCluskey want it pushed back even further saying there is a conflict with another case.
McCluskey is charged with carjacking and murder in the deaths of Gary and Linda Haas whose charred remains were found near Santa Rosa in 2010.
They were vacationing in New Mexico and kidnapped and killed for their truck.
McCluskey faces the death penalty if convicted.
Another escapee and a woman who aided in the jail break already have pleaded guilty to charges related to the murders.
