ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A New Mexico man accused of robbing a bank in one state gets arrested for driving drunk in another.
Oregon state police say 57-year-old James Dear of Las Cruces was arrested on a drunk driving charge, but he also turned out to be a suspect in a bank robbery 11 hours earlier and nearly 500 miles away.
He was arrested Thursday and troopers say they found a large amount of marked cash in a pickup.
The cash was confirmed stolen from a bank in Sacramento, California.
Police say dear was arrested Thursday and will be extradited to California.
