ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A woman who hit and killed a bicyclist in Albuquerque last month is now facing charges in the incident.
Police believe Memori Hardwick was high on meth and was trying to pick up a lit cigarette she had dropped on the front seat of her car when she blew through a red light at Washington Street and Indian School Road NE and hit Matt Trujillo.
Trujillo, 36, died after two weeks in a coma.
Hardwick, who has now been charged with vehicular homicide, was arraigned in Bernalillo County Metropolitan Court on Wednesday.
Her bond was set at nearly $500,000.
