ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Officials say a shooting in Albuquerque’s South Valley Sunday was prompted by dirty looks.

It happened on La Vega Court.

According to court documents Joe Gonzales walked out of a house and started exchanging looks with a group of three young men.

One of them was 18-year-old Jonathan Hernandez.

Hernandez says his friend told him he should shoot Gonzales, so he did.

Gonzales was hit in the leg and is expected to be okay.

Hernandez is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and other charges.
