ESPAÑOLA, N.M. (KRQE) - A Rio Arriba County sheriff's deputy who was in four crashes in less than two years has resigned.
Sgt. Anthony Armijo's most-recent mishap happened on Sept. 24. After responding to a call at a traffic stop he was hit by another driver.
Before becoming a deputy, Armijo, 24, was cited for careless driving, speeding, failure to yield and driving without a license.
Not all the accidents were his fault, and no one was hurt.
