CROWNPOINT, N.M. (KRQE) - State police are investigating the death of a 16-year-old from Crownpoint who died with the highest blood alcohol level they've ever found in a person his age.

Tryan Denetso, 16, was at a party called the "Bluewater Bash" last Friday night near Bluewater Lake.

He died on Saturday.

Preliminary toxicology results show his blood alcohol content was .40. That's five times the presumed level of intoxication.

State police said adults were also at the party.

Denetso's BAC was the highest state police have ever found in a high school student, according to a department spokesperson.
