LAS CRUCES (KRQE) - This guy was apparently wasn't looking for ice cream when he ended up with a lot more than cool treats.
Las Cruces police reported a Dairy Queen worker leaving the restaurant on North Main Street Wednesday afternoon spotted Dennis Hanson, 20, inside a Honda Civic belonging a DQ employee.
She used her cell phone to call the Honda's owner who came out with another DQ worker, and they held the car doors shut trapping Hanson inside until police arrived.
Police allege he was trying to steal the stereo.
Hanson, whose last known address was in Valentine, Ariz., is charged with auto burglary and is being held on a $5,000 bond..
