ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A case worker with the New Mexico Children Youth and Families Department is in jail Tuesday morning accused of throwing a party with drugs and alcohol for teenagers.

Justina Romero, 29, is charged with child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

State police were called to her Las Vegas home Sunday about noise.

Inside officers found some teens so drunk they had to go to the hospital.

Cops say they found alcohol, marijuana and ecstasy in the house.

This is not Romero’s first run in with the law. In 2009, she was charged with three counts of child abuse after police found pot, crack and guns in her home.

CYFD suspended her with pay for seven months before the charges were dropped because the drugs belonged to someone else.
