SANTA FE (KRQE) - The accused ringleader in the Robertson High School hazing case pleaded not guilty to all charges on Thursday.

Former football player Michael Gallegos faces multiple rape, kidnapping and conspiracy charges.

The accusers, all younger players on the Robertson football team, told investigators Gallegos sodomized them with a broomstick at a preseason camp last August while other teammates held them down.

Four other players pleaded not guilty during their arraignments on Wednesday.  The arraignments followed a preliminary hearing last month during which a district judge ruled there was sufficient evidence for the accusations to be heard by a jury.

A sixth boy pleaded guilty to lesser charges in an agreement that will sentence him as a juvenile. He is expected to testify against the others.
