RIO RANCHO, N. M. (KRQE) - A Rio Rancho man Thursday admitted shooting another man execution style, wrapping the body in a tarp and then burying it in a 12-foot hole on a nearby mesa.

Police said Sergio Tena shot Carl Busbee, 27, in the head at close range over a $30,000 drug debt in November 2006. Officers dug up the body a week later, after receiving a tip about the location from a witness.

Tena, 48, pleaded guilty to second degree murder and other charges in a plea deal that could land him in prison for up to 18 years.

Tena's girlfriend, Anna Sigala, 37, who helped bury Busbee's body, has already pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence.
