Northwest N.M. man wanted by FBI

NEW MEXICO - A Northwest New Mexico man, Jefferson Padilla, is wanted by the FBI in connection with an October 12, 2008 incident on the Navajo Indian Reservation.

Padilla has been charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of assault resulting in serious injuries.

Authorities believe Padilla is still in the four corners area and are asking anyone who may have information regarding Padilla’s whereabouts to call the Albuquerque FBI Office at (505) 889-1300 (24 hours) or Shiprock Police at 505-368-1350

Jefferson K. Padilla is a 26-year-old male, Native American (Navajo), 6’ 1” tall, 310 lbs., has black hair with brown eyes and wears glasses. He has a scar on his left eyebrow

Up to $1000 in reward money is available for any information that directly leads to the arrest Padilla.
