Police nab NM beauty queen for DWI

EL PASO, Texas (KRQE) - The former beauty queen, who represented New Mexico in the 2008 Miss USA pageant, was arrested on DWI charges in El Paso, according El Paso County Court's Web site.

Raelene Aguilar was arrested by El Paso Police early Friday morning for suspicion of DWI.

She was taken to a county jail, faced a judge and bonded out for $600 a few hours after her arrest at 9:15 a.m.

Aguilar attended college in El Paso at UTEP, according to her biography posted on the Miss New Mexico Web site.

Aguilar's term as Miss New Mexico USA ended at the end of last year.

In 2000, Aguilar was Miss New Mexico Teen USA.
