ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - An Albuquerque robbery suspect, who was stabbed repeatedly in the moments after the robbery, is out of the hospital and in jail.

Paul Raymond Gutierrez, 18, appeared before an Albuquerque Metropolitan Court Judge Saturday on charges of armed robbery and conspiracy.

Police said he and another man robbed a man at knifepoint on April 6.

Shortly after, Gutierrez was found with multiple stab wounds to the chest in the 8100 block of Marquette NE.

At first, police believed Gutierrez would not survive, but he did.

He was booked into jail Friday afternoon, and is in custody at the MDC infirmary.

Saturday his bond was set at $50,000.
