Deputies arrested the man that they say killed a 19-year-old father in a drive-by shooting last week.
Roberto Gonzales, 17, was arrested by the Bernalillo County Gang Unit and now faces a long list of charges including murder of John Valenzuela, 19.
Last Thursday, deputies said Valenzuela was outside playing football on Cordelia Rd. when a car drove by and shot him in the chest. He later died in the hospital.
Deputies said they believe the shooting was gang related, and that four people were in the car.
Gonzales was the last to be arrested, and he confessed to being the shooter, according to deputies.
"He's going to be tried as an adult. At least that's the plan right now through the district attorney's office," Sgt. Mark Kmatz said.
Gonzales is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center on a $500,000 bond.
Deputies have arrested three other people in connection with the murder.
Valenzuela's family said he just earned his GED and leaves behind a baby girl.
