ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The Belen man charged with murdering a suspected burglar faced another delay in his case Friday.
A preliminary hearing for Luke Sanchez was scheduled for Friday to determine if there was enough evidence for the charges to stand, but the district attorney said he's still waiting for more information from the sheriff's department.
Sanchez is accused of following Gary Gabaldon and Rudy Sisneros after they broke into Enchantment Propane on the Fourth of July. Police have accused Sanchez of shooting and killing Gabaldon.
Sanchez claims the shooting was in self defense.
District Attorney Lemuel Martinez said it's unclear when the preliminary hearing will be rescheduled.
