Alleged drunk drives wrong way on I-25

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A driver who police believe was drunk drove the wrong way on Interstate 25 before returning to the proper lanes, rolling her vehicle and injuring herself.

Isleta Pueblo police are handling the investigation of the crash near the Rio Bravo Boulevard on-ramp near Albuquerque.

Bernalillo County deputies were alerted to the allegedly drunk driver about 11:45 p.m. Sunday. A spokesperson said the woman had been driving north on I-25 and at some point crossed the median, driving north in the southbound lanes. The driver returned to the northbound lanes and rolled over just north of the on-ramp.

She was taken to a local hospital. Officials haven't said what kinds of injuries she received.
