ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - The scene of a man's apparently natural death turned dramatic when a suspected drunken driver plowed into rescue vehicles Friday morning.
The body of a man had been found near Central Avenue and 114th Street around 2 a.m.
As sheriff's deputies tried to figure out what happened, they say Thomas Montaño drove up and slammed into a fire department rescue truck and an ambulance.
One deputy had a minor injury.
Montaño was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI.
As for the 59-year-old dead man, investigators said he appears to have died from natural causes.
