Albuquerque police are asking the public's help in locating a "highly dangerous" man whose violent history includes the severe beating of a recent girlfriend.
Aaron James, 32, is on the run but has threatened to kill the girlfriend, according to police. Albuquerque Police Department detectives are taking precautions to protect her and her family, a statement released late Tuesday afternoon said.
The case is assigned to APD's High Lethality Domestic Violence and Stalking Unit, which requested the public alert and believes James is ready and willing to kill the girlfriend if given the opportunity.
Anyone with information on James' whereabouts can contact Detective Byron Samora at (505) 924-6015 or Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers at 242-STOP (242-7867).
