ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - New Mexico State Police say they will be making another push to stop drunken driving in the coming weeks.
Starting Friday officers will be conducting more than two dozen sobriety checkpoints around the state as well as planning 67 DWI saturation patrols.
State officials say alcohol is involved in 40 percent of all fatal traffic crashes in New Mexico.
The blitz will run through the Labor Day holiday weekend.
