ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - U.S. Marshals in South Carolina have captured a man wanted for raping an Albuquerque woman and along with him arrested his alleged victim.
They tracked 26-year-old Moses Sparks to a trailer park near the town of Mullins on Thursday.
The trailer had neither running water nor electricity apparently because Sparks wanted to keep a low profile.
He was wanted for breaking into his girlfriend's home in September and beating and raping her.
But that girlfriend was actually with him when marshals found him Thursday. She was also arrested for manufacturing a controlled substance.
Sparks was wanted on charges with criminal sexual penetration, kidnapping and aggravated assault.
The New Mexico Corrections Department Security Threat Intelligence Unit joined in the effort that led to Sparks' capture. The Corrections Department reported he had been placed on probation July 12 for kidnapping and aggravated battery.
The regional South Carolina news website SC Now reported Sparks waved extradition to New Mexico during a hearing Frida
