ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A copper thief who burned himself is lucky to be alive, according to Albuquerque police.
Officers allege Dominic Anzara tried to steal copper wiring Thursday afternoon from a small shopping mall in southeast Albuquerque.
Instead a live wire shocked him so badly it burned off some of his hair and knocked the power out to the stores in the mall.
Anzara is in jail under a $3,500 bond charged with possession of marijuana and criminal damage to property.
