ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) - A New Mexico State Police officer involved in a close call with a big rig is out of the hospital.
Lt. Javier Moncada was looking for speeders last week near Hagerman when he said a semi drifted into his lane.
He swerved to avoid a head-on crash and rolled his cruiser three times.
The semi took off and police are still looking for its driver.
Moncada is now recovering at home. Police are not sure when he'll be back at work.
