ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A man accused of killing a New Mexico nun heads to court Wednesday so a judge can decide whether he is competent to stand trial.

The hearing to be held in federal court in Albuquerque follows two reports presented last month by the U.S. attorney's office that concluded that Reehalio Carroll is competent to be tried.

Carroll is accused of killing sister Marguerite Bartz, 64, with a flashlight after she caught him breaking into her trailer home on the Navajo Indian Reservation back in 2009.
