ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A Bernalillo County grand jury on Wednesday indicted Christopher Midyette, 20, on a tampering with evidence charge relating to the death of Brittini Carlini early last month.
Midyette also faces a charge of conspiracy to tamper with evidence, according to a news release from the Bernalillo County District Attorney's Office. He is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
He and Ryan Vigil were arrested on Nov. 8 after officials found Carlini's body buried at a location outside of Albuquerque.
Vigil committed suicide while in custody.
Patrick Davis with the DA's office said the office could not present evidence to the grand jury that directly implicates Midyette in Carlini's murder, but Davis said the investigation continues.
