Child shot in the head with pellet gun

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A small child is doing better Monday morning, after being shot in the head with a pellet gun.

The incident happened on the 10,000 Block of Betts Street in northeast Albuquerque, near Candelaria Road and Eubank Boulevard Sunday afternoon.

Albuquerque police say it looks like this is an accident because the 3 year-old may have somehow walked into the line of fire.

He's expected to be okay.
