LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) - They won't face attempted-murder charges, but a trio of burglary suspects accused of shooting at a man who tried to block their escape now faces multiple felony indictments.
Josh Adams, Jeremy Hicks and Brandie Heald, 15, are all charged with:
The trio allegedly broke into a home in Los Chavez early in November and took off with loot that included a lockbox and other valuables. The lockbox contained irreplaceable adoption papers and eventually was recovered.
The escaping burglars fired off two shots at a neighbor who tired to block them in hitting his truck but not him.
All three suspects have been in and out of jail for years, mostly on burglary and drug charges.
They've spent little time locked up although these are the toughest charges they've face.
