ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Charges against one of the developers involved in the failed Anaszi project have been dropped.

David Garcia, his father Vincent and Derek Barnhill, were all accused of scamming the bank that financed the downtown development and siphoning off the money for their own use.

Vincent and Barnhill recently pleaded guilty to bank fraud.

They claim David Garcia did not know about the fraud.

The elder Garcia and Barnhill still faces 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
