SANTA FE (KRQE) - Santa Fe Police say they’ve completed their investigation into the teacher who was caught on camera dragging a blind special needs student down a hallway.

The video captures a Gonzales Community School special education teacher grab the 6-year-old’s ankles and drag him down the hallway last month.

The teacher told police the student was not cooperating when she asked him to walk to another classroom, but maintains that she did not intend to hurt the boy.

Police have sent the case the District Attorney’s office, who will decide if she should be charged with child abuse.

That teacher, who has not been named, is currently on leave.
