Car burglars rang up credit-card debt

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest of two car burglary suspects who stole a purse and promptly rang up $1,000 in charges.

On June 26 the burglars broke into a vehicle parked at 4101 Paseo del Norte NW and stole a purse containing credit cards.  They then went to Walgreens stores at Wyoming and Harper NE and Paseo del Norte and San Pedro NE where they bought about $1,000 in American Express gift cards.

Anyone with information on the crime can contact Crime Stoppers at 843-STOP (843-7867) or visit the Crime Stoppers website .  Tipsters do not have to give their names to be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
