DEMING, N.M. (AP) - A man suspected of killing his wife and stepdaughter has waived extradition in Deming, N.M. and will be returned to southern California.

Authorities said 52-year-old Michael Barbar appeared before the Luna County, N.M. Magistrate Monday.

Barbar is being held at the Luna County Detention Center on a no-bail warrant from Riverside County, Calif., on one count of homicide.

Barbar was arrested early Sunday by Deming police after they were notified by Riverside County authorities.

Barbar is suspected in the deaths of 43-year-old Maysam Barbar and 6-year-old Tamara Barbar, who were found in their home in Perris, Calif., Saturday.

A 10-year-old girl was found unharmed at the house.

Authorities have not revealed how the victims were killed.
