California homicide arrest made in N.M.

DEMING, N.M. (KRQE) - A man accused of killing two of his family members yesterday in southern California was arrested Sunday in southern New Mexico.

Riverside County Sheriff's Investigators say 52-year-old Michael Barbra killed his 43-year-old wife and 6-year-old step-daughter in Perris, CA.

Barbar was arrested early this morning in Deming reportedly by an S.W.A.T. team in a motel just off Interstate 10.

California investigators headed to New Mexico to interview the suspect who surrendered to Deming police.

Investigators won't say how the victims were killed. A 10-year-old girl was also found inside the family home, unharmed.
