Body found in fire rubble weeks later

TAOS, N.M. (KRQE) - Investigators seeking the cause of a fire at the former Holy Cross Hospital convent building in Taos earlier this month discovered a body among the debris on Wednesday.

Authorities are treating the discovery as a homicide.

The Taos News reported investigators working on the Aug. 8 fire found the body of a man in the buried in the rubble in the basement.

The identity of the victim and cause of death hasn't been determined.
