ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - A woman is behind bars after she slapped her brother, slashed his tires and put sugar in his gas tank on his wedding night, according to the criminal complaint.
Terry Luna, 32, faces an aggravated assault charge.
When Luna arrived at her father's home late Friday night, she was upset that her brother and his wife were there. The two said they married earlier in the day. According to the criminal complaint, she grabbed a motorcycle part ash tray, slapped her brother in the face and ripped off his shirt.
The couple decided to leave the residence and was spotted by a Bernalillo County Sheriff's deputy a few blocks away. The deputy confirmed the man was shirtless and saw small cuts on his nose and under his eye. According to the criminal complaint, the newlyweds were in a different car because they said Luna slashed their tires.
When the deputy returned to the home to interview Luna, he said she was sitting near bong and a small bag of marijuana. She denied the attack, but admitted she hates her brother's new wife. Another witness on the scene said he saw Luna slash the tires and dump sugar in the SUV's gas tank, according to the criminal complaint.
The deputy arrested Luna on the assault charge. She's being held on a $5,000 cash or surety bond.
