ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Albuquerque police and the FBI are looking for the man who held up two West Side banks on Tuesday.

The Hispanic man hit the New Mexico Bank and Trust near Coors Boulevard and Montano just before 3 p.m. and about 90 minutes later held up the New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union about three miles to the south at Coors NW and Redlands.

He showed a pistol for the first teller but presented only a demand note to the second, according to the FBI.

The man is about 6 feet tall with slender build and is believed to be in his late 20s to early 30s.  He has a mustache and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap with a U.S. flag on it.

No one was reported hurt in either holdup.

Investigators now are looking into whether the man might be responsible for other bank heist in the Albuquerque area.

Anyone with information on the holdups or suspect can contact the FBI's 24-hour hotline (505) 889-1300 or contact Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers anonymously at (505) 843-STOP (843-7867).
