Arson suspected in house fire

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) - Arson is suspected in fire that destroyed a South Valley home early Sunday morning.

Someone reported a structure fire at Coors and Norment SW around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, according to the Bernalillo County Fire Department.

The single family home was unoccupied.

It's still unclear exactly how the fire began, but the investigation is ongoing.

According to BCFD, investigators suspect it was arson, but they won't say why.
